Hi!
I've got a problem using headphones with my Audigy 4 card (not Pro!):
It's far too quiet. You can hear what's coming, but it seems like the
amplifier is not switched on.
I plugged the card into my windows box and there the volume was OK with
my headphones. This tells me that the card can basically do more than
line out level.
The card is recognized as an Audigy2 Value (SB0400) but is working so
far as expected. Alsamixer has an own panel named headphone, but this
has no effect (I also tried all other mixer settings possible...). I
know the Analog Output Jack has to be unmuted to hear anything at all.
Do I have to use special kernel module options for extin and extout as
described in http://alsa.opensrc.org/emu10k1 for a correct setup?
I am running SuSE Linux 10.0 with kernel 2.6.13-15.7-default and ALSA
version 1.0.9b.
Any hints?
Regards,
Patrick
