hy Lee,

here's the result

# modprobe snd-layla24
FATAL: Module snd_layla24 not found.
FATAL: Error running install command for snd_layla24
You must install alsa-driver (this driver is not included in the
kernel).

which one, debian's one, or from the sources ?

No idea. Try one then the other

Hy Lee,

You were right, I've recompiled kernel 2.6.12, just keeping "Sound card support" as module (CONFIG_SOUND=m), so that I could install full alsa drivers over the kernel. I've used the "debian method", but it could have been easily done with the sources.

The snd-layla24 module automatically loads at boot, I can use echomixer which is a great job !

Nevertheless, I still have few questions about using layla24:

  1. Were could I find an asound.rc exemple for the Layla24 ?
  2. How is it possible to see the ADAT inputs in jack control (jack
control only wants to start up with 8 in/8 out) ?

Thank you for your help

Cheers

Marc
