It is still broken with the latest 2.6.16 kernel?

Does it work with native ALSA apps (/dev/dsp* and /dev/audio* are the
legacy OSS emulation devices)?

What are the contents of /proc/asound/cards?  Is snd-pcm-oss loaded?
