Thanks, good point. Now it tries to use dmix I think, but now not even
one appl can use the soundcard anymore:

hm. I tried many different combinations of rates, formats etc but it's
too much guessing. Does anyone know the right values for this soundcard?
I read the Audiophile-Usb.txt from Thibault Le Meur (part of alsa
docu), and for the mode I am choosing (device_setup=0x09) it should be
24bits 48kHz. So what else am I missing or is there another problem?
