Well - quite an outcry against forums. I eventually give up on lists because it's so difficult to go back and retrieve an old message. There's a constant stream of unrelated messages on different subjects. Once a message has faded out of sight, no one answers it. If you do not get an answer straight away, you never get an answer. And, believe me, I've tried searching archives, and I've tried gmane.
On forums, replies are sorted into threads and the threads are there for others to search and review. I've had answers on forums to questions posted even weeks previously. At least alsa questions are among the subjects that get discussed on linuxquestions forums. Doesn't look as though it'll ever happen for alsa alone. ____________________________________________________ On Yahoo!7 Dating: It's free to join and check out our great singles! http://www.yahoo7.com.au/personals ------------------------------------------------------- Using Tomcat but need to do more?
