No, I don't have such a device.  But it's impossible to tell what could
be wrong without more information.  No configuration should be needed
(despite what you read about ALSA on the web) - it either works, or does
not work.

What happens when you plug the device in?  Is snd-usb-audio loaded?
What is the output of dmesg?  cat /proc/asound/devices?  Etc...
