For estimate the latency max for frequency 20480 Hz Stereo 16 bits : 0.800s
for Stereo 16 bits Samples :
-> Transform for Stereo : 65536 / 2 : 32768
-> Transform for 16 bits : 32768 / 2 : 16534 samples
-> Latency Max : (16534 / 20480) : 0.800s
Can you confirm 16534 samples BufferSize max for Alsa ?
Please confirm, that using MONO and not STEREO don't increase the size of 16534 Samples.
And Final Question :
if i modify the driver, do you think that's possible to increase the bufferSize by two or more ?

The AC'97
controller doesn't have an inherent buffer size limit. The
driver uses
a default maximum buffer size of 64
KB.
