Hi everyone,

I have a problem with my Sound Blaster Live! Value, but it's not to playback
sound; it's for capturing it instead.

With the Gnome Volume Control and alsamixer, I tried several times to set
which channel I want to be capture, while also setting the "capture" toggle
on the capture track itself. This gives me nothing. When I record, it's
still mute. I tried recording with several programs, including Skype and
mencoder, but no success -- just no sound.

When I set the capture toggle on the Mic track and unmut both that track and
Capture, I can hear myself with the microphone, but the computer still won't
record a thing.

I have Fedora Core 5 installed, with kernel 2.6.16-1.2122_FC5. I have Alsa
version 1.0.11rc2. (The only reason why I didn't update Alsa is because I
can't find a compiled RPM package in any Fedora or 3rd-party repositories
that I use.)

Anyone can help me? Thanks in advance!
