Hello, I would like to record Radio (TV is not very important) directly from the TV-Card without passing the Sound through my Soundcard first. Normally (with PCI-Soundcards) have have to connect Analog Audio OUT of the TV-Card with a cable to Analog IN of your soundcard and additionally the mixer settings of my soundcard have to be right to hear anything at all.
Which TV-Card is supported by ALSA to do this? Or: Where can I find information about which cards are supported to do this by ALSA? It would be great if it is a hybrid card that supports FM- as well als DVB-T. At present I own an WinTV PCI Card (PAL - B/G - I 61344 REV D421) and direct Audio Recording doesn't work with ALSA: http://www.domenech.org/bt878a-adc/alsa-e.htm https://bugtrack.alsa-project.org/alsa-bug/view.php?id=1401 In the meantime a record for my WinTV PCI-Card is shown at /proc/asound/cards but trying to access /dev/snd/pcmC1D1c with sox sox -V -r 48000 -w -t alsa /dev/snd/pcmC1D1c -t cdr test.wav gives this error: ALSA lib pcm.c:2146:(snd_pcm_open_noupdate) Unknown PCM /dev/snd/pcmC1D1c sox: Failed reading /dev/snd/pcmC1D1c: cannot open audio device ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Using Tomcat but need to do more?
