Hello I will try to use IR remote control provided by the Sound Blaster Live 24 bits USB External. I have some questions (I'm a beginner) : - Does it works? (Do you have some links to help me?) - Which alsa module is used for this sound card? (snd_emu10k1 or snd_usb_audio ?) - Does this module supports the IR remote control ? - In the mailing list archive, I've found a patch to enable the IR. Is this patch included in the actual release of alsa ? - alsamixer don't see all outputs of the sound card. Only fronts speakers work. How to enable the rear speakers ? - If i have to compile and install alsa from source. Do I have to recompile my linux kernel without sound/alsa modules support ? (conflicts?). I work with Debian Etch. - Why alsaconf does not detect this sound card ?
