Hi all, I have a debian with a 2.6.17 kernel (don't know alsa version, can I be the last one ?) My sound card is a PCI Hercule Muse Lt, and I use the kernel built-in ALSA driver CMI8738.
The sound card has been recognize, it appears correctly when I use the command cat /proc/asound/cards I can play sounds, both outputs work, but I have no seperate volume control, one for front, the other for rear speakers. Master volume increase or decrease both outputs. This is really frustrating ! Is there a way to get a volume control in Alsamixer witch allows controlling front and rear speakers seperatly ? Thanks for reading me, any response will be appreciated ! (Not "Buy another card", I can use only this **** card in this rack-mounted PC !) :) -- Marc ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Take Surveys. Earn Cash.
