The current ALSA driver (1.0.12) supports all devices supported by
Yamaha's current driver (2.1.7).

No Yamaha USB MIDI device is standard compliant.

All Yamaha USB MIDI devices are about 99% compliant; all that's missing is
the part that tells the OS that it actually is a standard device.
This is why a single YAMAHA_DEVICE() line in usbquirks.h is enough to get
them to work.
I'd guess it's
d) the DGX-620 is one of those devices where Yamaha doesn't mention the
device name in the Windows driver's .inf file, so this device is
handled by one of the nameless entries in usbquirks.h
