I don't thing so. 0.99.76 do have the gtk1 interface and it is a limitation
for the number of songs in the loaded playlist. That is what is causing the
crash. It is a well know problem with AP and the gtk1 interface:

The only cure is to upgrade AlsaPlayer to 0.99.80, it is 2 0.99.80-rc versions
in sid. Or try to install AP directly from the sources. Otherwise, you have no
other choice as to use smaller playlists.
