Thanks for the info, Graham. Unfortunately, my problem very much weighs on
the presence of the Live Drive. Maybe it's high time I learned the guts of
MIDI message passing. But I imagine my specific problem would be a lot more
complicated/involved.
Any discerning people out there think it's a good idea to post this problem
to the alsa-dev list??
