I am using cards with C-Media chipset (CMI 8770). I have HT Omega Striker
7.1 and Auzen X-Plosion 7.1 Cinema. These cards can provide individual
volume control (5.1 uncompressed playback mode) in Windows but I could not
find such control in ALSA. The vendor says they are unable to help. Any
solutions?
The reason I need individual volume control is that by default both the
above cards have a different output level on the subwoofer channel. The HT
Omega gave in 1.5 times the peak-to-peak voltage as compared to the other
channels while the X-plosion's sub is 30% lower.
