Neither the driver nor the card do this; I'd guess this is a feature of your mixer application. > still remaining is the issue of not being able to adjust the left and > right line volumes. it would be nice to have that extra functionality. The hardware does not have any mechanism to change the line input's level. You have to adjust the volume after recording.
