Hi All,
I have a machine (alienware m15x) running sid.
I cannot have sound working properly.
the output of lspci is:
00:1b.0 Audio device: Intel Corporation 82801H (ICH8 Family) HD Audio
Controller (rev 04)
on the alsa website ICH8 seems not to be supported but I am not sure.
i have added
options snd-hda-intel model=6stack-dig
to /etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base.conf
and I can have sound but the mic is not working and I cannot have sound from
the HDMI port.
I have tried other options but without success.
Can someone give me a hand with that? Especially the HDMI sound.
