Dear community,
within the config files I found that hda-intel driver is only supported on
2.6 kernels, and not for 2.4 kernels. Is there any possibility to get it fly
for a 2.4.21-99-default kernel?
Sorry, I cannot move to the 2.6 kernel due to other constraints. I found a
mail from Clemens Ladisch (2008) and already tried the hints he gave. But
this does not work for me. I tried several versions from 1.0.16 to 1.0.23,
but compilation every time failed with errors.
Our motherboard has an Intel 82801 BAM/CAM/DBM PCI Bridge with ALC888 HD
Audio Codec. Is it correct, that only the hda-intel driver supports this
chipset?
