Hi All,

I have a Zotac HD80 with a NVIDIA GeForce 520M. There is only one HDMI
output. However, ALSA shows three HDMI outputs but only one is functional
(below). With debug enabled dmesg trace (further below) indicates that the
snd-hda-codec-realtek kernel module is being used instead of the
snd-hda-codec-nvhdmi kernel module for HDMI. When I unload the
snd-hda-intel and snd-hda-codec-realtek kernel modules and try to load the
snd-hda-codec-nvhdmi kernel module modprobe spits out Invalid Argument and
the module is not loaded. What is going on here? I have tried mucking
with the probe mask for card 1 (0xffff, 0xfff2) which should force it to
use the NVIDIA codec, I think??? Thanks in advance.

Best Regards,

Rob "Confused" Krakora
