~# cat /proc/asound/card1/id DA300USB Great, I thought, as the card works with a MAC right out of the box, there is hope. Alas, alsamixer does not offer eany controls to write to the device (such as a volume control), and my player cannot set even CD write parameters. Any kind of search on the subject gives no results. Is this being worked on (UBUNTU is rather backward)? PS: Denon support has told me that the DA300USB is not class compliant.
