I recently stopped using the native Intel graphics and added
an nvidia GTX 960 card, and now my pulseaudio "index" numbers
no longer match my "alsa.card" numbers, leading to great
confusion when trying to specify card numbers on command
line apps since I have no idea if they want alsa card
numbers or pulseaudio card numbers :-).

Is there any way to re-arrange the numbering so they'll
match again? Here's the (abbreviated) output from a
pacmd list-cards:

2 card(s) available.
    index: 0
        name: <alsa_card.pci-0000_01_00.1>
        driver: <module-alsa-card.c>
        owner module: 6
        properties:
                alsa.card = "1"
                alsa.card_name = "HDA NVidia"
...
    index: 1
        name: <alsa_card.pci-0000_00_1b.0>
        driver: <module-alsa-card.c>
        owner module: 7
        properties:
                alsa.card = "0"
                alsa.card_name = "HDA Intel PCH"

I don't really care which numbers I rearrange, I'd just
be less confused if they matched :-).
