Hey everyone!

To try work around some sound issues in Ubuntu I recently bought one of these:
https://www.ugreen.com/products/2-in-1-usb-external-sound-card

The audio output works just fine, but the input from the mic doesn't work at
all.

An extracted portion from running the alsa-info.sh script:

    !!Soundcards recognised by ALSA
    !!-----------------------------

     0 [PCH ]: HDA-Intel - HDA Intel PCH
HDA Intel PCH at 0x80788000 irq 167
     1 [Audio ]: USB-Audio - USB Audio
Generic USB Audio at usb-0000:00:14.0-1.1.3, full
speed

So it appears as though this USB device is being picked up as a generic USB
audio module. According to the manufacturer it uses the ACL4030 chip from
Realtek, but I can't find any info on this chip.

Diff from running usb-devices without and with the device plugged in:

Diff from running lsusb without and with the device plugged in:

Does the generic USB audio driver support recording/input? I'm happy to
contribute towards the driver support if someone can point me in the right
direction.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Thane
