Veterancentre fielder, Allison Bradley (Pinkerton, ON), and second baseman JenniferYee (North Delta, BC) each earned two runs to help their team to victory. The third game of the series proved to be a matter of catch up for the Rockford Thunder squad, who responded to almost every Team Canada run with one of its own. In the top of the first inning, Yee advanced to first on a defensive error, stole second and opened up the scoring when she was sent home by teammate Jennifer Salling (Port Coquitlam, BC). Feeling the pressure to even out the score, Rockfords Kristen Zaleski retaliated with a run of her own, leveling out the score to 1-1. Erin McLean (Whitby, ON) was the next to list a runin the third inning, when she was batted in by Salling, who recorded her secondRBI of the game. Immediately following this play, Bradley singled to centrefield, but advanced to third base on an error, enabling both Salling and Yee toachieve a run. Ultimately, the team would secure another run before taking tothe field. Determined to challenge the Senior Women and proveits worth in front of a hometown crowd, the Thunder collected four more runs inthe bottom of the fourth inning to tie the score at five. However, this wouldnot be enough to stave off Canada, as Bradley snuck in the last run of thenight in the final inning. Dione Meier (Saskatoon, SK) and Danielle Lawrie(Langley, BC), who shared pitching duties for the evening, had a combined sevenstrikeouts. Bradley had an outstanding performance with two runs and two RBIs.Salling also collected an impressive two hits, one run and two RBIs.
