KEY GAMES
The
final night of the regular season produced to key games.The Garson
Hounds showed some offensive power in thumping the first place
Dog House North Stars 9-4 behind Gary Lamothe's (5-2) fine pitching
and Corey Farmer (the league's top hitter for 2008) timely hitting
including his league leading 8th double of the present campaign.The
win clinched second place for the Hounds and a bye to the second
round semi finals.
In the
nightcap , the young guns of the Whitefish Lake First Nation
Steelers were all over the last place Magnatewan Native Sons
in trouncing them 11-4 for their 7th victory of the season.The
win gave them 4th place and home advantage in their opening quarter
final(2/3) with the Athletics on Wednesday night in Whitefish.
