I've known Doug Sleep since he joined forces with FedLock in 2001 in our initial foray to the Dominican Republic to compete against the Dominican National Fastpitch Softball Team. Doug pitched FedLock to our first victory against a tough Dominican National Team that spring.
I hold Doug Sleep in the highest regard as a ballplayer & a teammate. I've competed against him all too often. He has joined up with FedLock at various times over the past few years, including his latest successful stint with FedLock at Disney AAU 2006 in Orlando.
Doug's pitching credentials are impeccable. He's played top Major ball for many years. He's a former Team USA mainstay. A former Tampa Bay Smoker. He has traveled the world as a pitcher & an instructor. He is a 110% teammate whose first interest is the success of the team, not himself. He is an excellent pitching coach & mentor for young fastpitch chuckers. He was a successful Division One women's fastpitch program pitching coach. To cut it & dry it, wherever this high-calibre athlete goes, success follows. Quite frankly, if I had a ball team this year, Doug Sleep would be on it.
