Subject: Rain cancels play for rest of Friday at Eastern Canadians; new schedule announced -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ALBERTON - Rain has forced organizers of the 2007 Tignish Credit Union Midget Girls Eastern Canadians championships, in conjunction with Softball P.E.I. to halt play for the remainder of Friday here in Alberton and O'Leary. The rain came in at about 1:45 p.m., as many of the 11 am games were ending. However, one game which was still ongoing had to be suspended with the host PRINCE COUNTY ISLAND PETROLEUM HEAT ahead 10-5 over QUEBEC ONE, SUD OUEST DRAGONS, in the top of the seventh with one out for Sud Ouest. A revised schedule will now see the five game round robin turned to a four game modified round robin. Each team's final game which was slated for Saturday has now been scrapped. Below is the revised schedule A detailed look at some of the games (from which I was able to get details on) will be sent to yoyu shortly.
