Subject: RECAP OF FAWCETTS GAME AT SR MEN'S -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Here is the first game recap for Hunter's Ale House upset win of the Kitchener Twins which I did for the local media on P.E.I. Fawcetts upset Twins to open Sr. Men's with win ST. JOHN'S , NL - The Hunter's Ale House Fawcetts have started the 2007 Labatt Canadian senior men's fast pitch championship off with a huge upset, beating the Kitchener Hallman Twins (Ontario 1) 3-2 in their opener Sunday afternoon. Charlottetown trailed 2-0 before scoring three runs, one each in the third fifth and bottom of the seventh to win the game. It was import pickup Glenn Ormsby's big bat that did the damage as he drove in two runs in the win. Ormsby played with the Orillia Quaker Riversharks during the ISC season. Jeff Ellsworth (1-2, two runs scored), Steven Larter (1-2, run scored), Kelly Wenstrom (1-1) and Chris Craig (1-3) also contributed to the win. Dale Levy (3-3) had the big bat for the Twins, who come in off an early exit from the ISC Worlds last week in Kitchener. Mike Bishop picked up the win striking out eight in seven innings work, allowing six hits. Todd Martin, in relief of Paul Koert, took the loss for the Twins. They are scheduled to face the Newfoundland and Labrador No. One team, Impact Signs in the main game Monday night at 8 p.m. Against Alberta, Mike Taylor (1-3) and Barry Sullivan (2-4) each drove in two runs while Shane Fitzpatrick scored twice in the win.
