Subject: ASPEN SLAMS PEI Hunter's Ale House Fawcetts 10-2 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ASPEN INTERIOS, SASK 2 - 10 HUNTER'S ALE HOUSE FAWCETTS - P.E.I. 2 BY PAT HEALEY ST. JOHN'S NL - In the first game against Aspen, Ryan ONeil (3-3, run scored), winning pitcher Trevor Ethier (2-4, two runs scored, home run three RBI), outfielder Mike Lawton (2-4, two runs scored, RBI) and short stop Darrell Joy (2-4, two runs scored, home run, two RBI) led the attack. Wayne Florte also homered for the winners in the 10-2 trouncing of the Hunter's Ale House Fawcetts of P.E.I. Jeff Ellsworth had the big bat for the Fawcetts getting two of their three hits they managed off Ethier. Ellsworth, who batted 2-for-3 with a walk in the game, scored Charlottetowns only two runs of the contest. He is now hitting 7-for-15 in the tournament. Mar Arsenault (1-1, two RBI) was the other Fawcett hitter to get a hit. Aspen scored three times in the first, two times in each of the fourth and fifth and finished it off with a three run sixth. Ethier earned the win going six innings, allowing two runs on three hits, striking out four and walking one, Ellsworth. Grant Patterson was tagged with the loss, going four innings in relief of starter Mike Bishop, allowing six runs on eight hits while walking four.
