A late report on last weeks game for the Schutt Hitmen
in the Impact printing cup.
Schutt went down to the Melbourne Comets last Tuesday night in
a game that produced some great fastball.
As it has been all this year Schutt and Comets have gone through
some great fastpitch battles, with Schutt leading all
game 1 - 0 on some tight pitching from Jim Grego of Schutt and
Mark Rigg from Comets neither teams hitters where seeing much
success at the plate when in the top of the 7th on a base hit
and 2 Schutt fielding errors Comets made their move scoreing
2 runs with 2 out.
In the bottom of the 7th after a lead off base hit from Jim Grego
the schutt hitters could not create the oppurtunity to level
the score going down in a heart breaker 2 - 1.
With the last of the round games being played tonight both Schutt
Hitmen and Melbourne Comets find themselves in must win situations
to stay in the play offs race which begin Wednesday night.
