One suggestion from the last monthly meeting was that we might try a "pimp
my code" session at the next one. Unfortunately I'm probably going to be
out of town on April 11th but I thought I'd bring it up anyway in case
anyone wants to try it at the next meeting or I'll hopefully be able to
propose it myself at the May meeting.

The idea is to have one or two people bring in some code that you're not
happy with and basically have a group programming session to fix it up. I
think that might be a good vehicle for actually demonstrating SOLID
techniques to people who might not have a lot of opportunities to learn from
a hands-on mentor.

If anyone's done something like this before, I'd like to get some
suggestions for how to actually run such a session. A laptop and projector
are required, obviously. Any suggestions for the size of the group, size of
the code to work on, tools to have available, etc? Any potential pitfalls
to avoid? I think this could either work really well or be a disaster,
depending on the details. J

Eric
