Dear all,

This is a friendly reminder that we will have the ALTO weekly meeting at 9:00
am US EST (3:00 pm CET and 10:00 pm Beijing Time) on Tuesday, February 8, 2022.

Below is a brief summary of the discussions in the last meeting just to help
refresh our memory:

1. Richard and Roland presented and are pushing for the idea of integrating
core features of Advanced Message Queuing Protocol (AMQP) into the ALTO new
transport design, which is a widely used standard for pub/sub messaging
systems.

2. The term to be used in the "OAM" document (raised in the WG review by
Adrian) was discussed. One key conclusion is to pick one term, define it
properly in the draft and use it consistently. Another issue on the OAM
document is whether/when the YANG file should be specified. Jensen is leading
the effort to get an initial version before the next IETF.

3. Jordi led the discussion on building ALTO code bases and platforms.
Discussions include getting college students involved for the development,
creating platforms and ecosystems for testing, evaluation, and eventually
getting deployed in production.

Agenda:

- NAI planning and actions (15-20 min)
- WG documents (5-10 min)
- ALTO code base and platform (15-20 min)
- New charter items (10-15 min)
- Open discussion (if time permits)

Please feel free to let me know if there is any topic you want to discuss in
the WG but not in the agenda.

Best,
Kai
