It would be nice to be able to isolate the troubles to either the USB link to the device or the AltosUI software. Do you have a program like the old hyperterminal? Perhaps TeraTerm or Putty would work. Either of those should let you connect to the TeleDongle or TeleMetrum. If you can, you can type '?<return>' and see if it talks to you that way. If that's reliable, I can cook up some debug stuff in the AltosUI software to help figure out what's going on. -keith
