Many (most?) of these are actually caused by bugs in AltosUI -- some error recovery paths in the application aren't correctly closing the serial ports. So, closing windows or canceling other operations sometimes wanders into uncharted parts of the application. Hitting them requires careful timing and can depend on the phase of the moon or the price of APCP. I keep fixing these, but need to figure out a more comprehensive solution than just writing perfect code everywhere all the time. So, newer bits are likely to hit these less often. We should have a new version of AltosUI available shortly... -keith
