Cool! And thanks for joining us here on the list.

We started out with an SI-only approach, and only about a year ago added
the current level of support for imperial units. The in-built firmware
user interface will only ever support SI units because there just isn't
enough flash space to support options, but I don't see any reason that
AltosUI couldn't be a bit friendlier here. I've entered this as
enhancement request #95 for AltosUI in our issue tracking system. Thanks
for mentioning it!

We've certainly talked about GPS units at various times. I think we've
all struggled with this at least once.

Personally, my attention to this issue has waned since the introduction
of the newer TeleBT ground station. When you couple that with an
Android device that has a GPS receiver running AltosDroid, the whole
issue of needing to copy GPS coordinates from AltosUI into another
devices UI so that you can go find you rocket just goes away... it's
pretty cool!

I've put this in our tracking system as enhancement request #96.

That would certainly be awesome! Keith and I love patches for things
like this... please feel free to come find us on the #altusmetrum
channel on the OFTC IRC network if you want some quasi-real-time
assistance with navigating the existing code, etc.

Great!
