If anyone has similar problems or is interested in the solution:
As soon as TeleMega is configured "antenna up" recalibration works fine. If configured "antenna down" it mixes up the two calibration values, which of course makes them implausible.
I guess a query for antenna up/down during calibration could rearrange them easily. Otherwise, it might help someone if at least it got mentioned in the documentation that for calibration the device has to be in "antenna up" mode.

Betreff: [altusmetrum] TeleMega calibration failed
Hi all,

we (a student group in southern Germany) have purchased two TeleMega devices end of last year.
Aparently one (S/N 1248) seams to behave normally and the other one (S/N 1249) has some kind of issue.
It will not come up in flight mode at all if configured "antenna up".
If configured "antenna down" it will:
- come up with a sensor error (morse code X) if oriented antenna down
- go into flight mode if laying on any side but slightly antenna down
- IDLE in other cases (antenna up or on side but slightly antenna up)

Apparently this seams to be some kind of sensor issue, so I tried the usb terminal command "c s". These are the relevant lines:
Config version: 1.15
Accel cal +1g: 2036 -1g: 2073
IMU cal along 16 across 12 through -15
Pad orientation: 1

The command "I" gives (when alligned roughly horizontal):
Accel:    -177      83   -2047 Gyro:     -38      23      -4
"A" gives:
MMA655X value 2047

Compared with the "healthy" one I can'f find anything suspicious with the Acc cal, but the IMU values seam to be very different (IMU cal along -4 across 1 through 60).

I also tried to recalibrate the acc sensor, this is the result:
c a 0
Orient antenna up and press a key...
[I sent a character via terminal]
Calibrating...
Orient antenna down and press a key...
[terminal contiunes without any waiting or key press, I turned the antenna down]
Calibrating...
Invalid accel: up (2064) down (2033)

This seams even more strange to me as TeleMega should obviously wait for the second calibration but doesn't.
Also, regarding the original Acc cal values, the new ones seam not to be this invalid (other way round maybe).

Sorry for the long text, but I would really appreciate if someone could help with this issue or even solve it.
