Got it running fine, had to also install Java 6 of course :-).

The issue seems to be when trying to detect the USB port for either the 
telemetrum devices (TeleMetrum or TeleMega) or the TeleDongle. No USB devices 
get detected, however, /dev does have the device connected OK. 

I don’t have the SMIG utility installed so I’m having trouble building the code 
for debug to try to fix this issue - just lack of time to get the JNI stuff 
fixed up. Was wondering if you already had a fix for this.

I am using 1.6.1 of Altos.
