I had the same problem. I tried going back to the last few revisions of
AltOS and saw the same behavior, and Keith couldn't reproduce it, so I
figured it was something weird with my data. I ended up exporting to CSV,
doing a little bit of processing in Excel, and then converting it to KML
using this tool: https://www.earthpoint.us/ExcelToKml.aspx (not free, but
very cheap with the data sizes we're talking about, as they charge per data
point - about 20 cents a flight).
