That's right -- the radio chip we used on TeleMetrum v1 boards can't
transmit for long enough at a time.

Yes, the on-board recording will capture the data. Of course, the APRS
stream doesn't contain much flight data, so you won't have much
information if the flight fails and you lose the on-board data.

I'd encourage you to figure out what's going on with the telemetry so
you have a redundant record of in-flight information.
