Yup.

More like the other way around. If it behaves itself one way, try it
the other way to make sure it's just as good.
But I'm betting you have the duplex mismatch problem and need the
/etc/system entries. Note that you have to reboot for them to take
effect.
Also note that what I posted was handed down to me and works here.
