First off, I'd like to thank the authors/maintainers of amanda for the
wonderful package that she is. Using the available documentation and
lurking on this list, my planning and testing phase was fairly quick and
painless, and I'm ready to go into production.
But I do have one minor question. Does it matter where the tape is
at the beginning of an amdump run? (I don't think it does, but better
safe than sorry...) My plan is to run an amcheck at 4 P.M. every
(week)day, and then amdump that night (all out of amanda's crontab). Do I
need to rewind after the amcheck, or will amdump not care that the tape is
positioned at the end of the amlabel?
