I suspect that technics.sn.ordix.omtrix.com is your nt box, and this is
the problem: you should put there the name of a client (might even be
your tape server itself) that has SAMBA installed on it. The
/magnus/download share should be accessible from that SAMBA. The nt
files are not accessed through nt itself, but through SAMBA (using
smbclient). This SAMBA can be anywhere installed in your network - you
"only" have to configure the host it is installed on, in order to accept
connections from the tape server. That is, you have to install AMANDA on
that host (compiling only the client part, if you like, see the
--without-server option), configure /etc/services and /etc/inetd.conf as
described in the docs and put *that* host in the disklist file on the
tape server, instead of technics.sn.ordix.omtrix.com.
But I might be wrong with my assuption...
Is omtrix-magnus the name of the dumptype you want to use for
//magnus/download?
