That's a message from your restore program.  Because Amanda is having it
read the image from a pipeline, some versions of restore get confused if
they get what's called a "short read".  Amanda is trying to get around
that by passing a small blocking ('b') factor (2).

What OS are you using?  What restore program and version?

Try the attached patch.  It increases the block size from 2 to 4.
You will need to rebuild and reinstall Amanda (or at least amverify).
Or you could hand edit your installed copy of amverify since it's such
a minor change.

Please let me know if this fixes the problem so we can decide whether
to put this into the released version.
