The usual suspects and techniques: * cables seated properly. * proper termination (not too much, not too little, just right ;-). * controller card seated properly. * replace the cable(s). * disconnect everything except the tape drive from the SCSI bus. * proper power grounding. * take the drive to another machine and try it there. * etc, ad infinitum. >Shane John R.
