Ummm, I didn't write that. A co-worker, Todd Helfter, did (as it says
in the inline comments).

I talked with Todd about a bit more yesterday. I don't understand all
of this, but I think there were a couple of important points the Tcl
version deals with that you should be careful of:
* The script processes one tablespace at a time. If you try to do
them all at once, and you run out of redo space while it's going on,
say bye, bye.
* The list of tablespaces to process is determined dynamically. If
you add a tablespace (or remove one), the script auto-adjusts.
* The control file is done last.
If any of this doesn't make sense (which is entirely likely), I'll be
glad to put you in contact with Todd. He's a real good guy.

for his information (he loves collection things :-). And if you have
