If you find an estimator program that works, you can get Amanda to call
it by faking the GNU tar that is used. See:

Because they may (and in fact do) have different ideas of how big the
image will be. Backing up **exactly** the same files with both will
give you different sized images because the format is wildly different.
So it's pointless to use one for the other.
Why not syntax check your code with Fortran and then actually compile
it with C?
However, if you want to do something like this, feel free to implement
the Amanda DUMPER-API, which should allow for such strange things.
