The first rule is, amcheck is your friend. What happens if you run it
with the -c (just check the clients) option?

Do you have amanda/amandad configured in inetd.conf on ns1.one80.com?
If you run "netstat -a | grep amanda" do you see the Amanda service being
listened for? After you HUP inetd, are there any error messages in the
system logs? How about after you try amcheck/amdump?
Is /tmp/amanda/amandad*debug and/or sendsize*debug and/or sendbackup*debug
on ns1.one80.com being updated? Are there any unusual error messages
in them?
