Hi there,
now I backed up my first 5 servers with Amanda and it worked. I think Amanda is very comfortable. But now the worst case has taken place. Because the person, who was responsible for these servers didn't make any backup (and the machines are running for 10 months), there are some hardware errors.
Amanda reported for me the following:
FAILURE AND STRANGE DUMP SUMMARY:
machine1 hda1 lev 0 STRANGE

On machine2 during the amdump I got the following messages on the console:

That led to the Amanda output that I attached at the end of this posting. Does the errors have to concern me? The systems are still working. What would you do if you had to find a quick solution? (If possible, a solution for someone who is new to all the backup stuff ;-))
