If any of the partitions uses more space than can fit on a tape you're
out of luck. Each dump _must_ fit on a single tape. Reducing chunk
size won't help since that just splits the dumps into more chunks on
the disk. It is used to avoid the filesystem limit on filesizes.

If all your dumps can fit on tape, just run amflush multiple
times. Every time you run it, Amanda will fit as many partitions as
possible on the tape. And since they all fit the tape, at least one
partition will be written completely to a tape every time you run
amflush. 

Once a partition has been written completely to tape, the dump files
in the holding disk will be deleted.
