But if you do a DNS lookup of the IP address (to find the hostname
returned from a PTR record), it looks as if that hostname doesn't match
what you told amanda to use:
pau-amma[1] host 63.169.132.238
238.132.169.63.IN-ADDR.ARPA domain name pointer host238.o1.com

(I suspect that there was a spurious line break in the cut'n'paste,
there.)
Anyhow, make the hostname from the PTR record agree with everything else
("mars"), and things should be much happier.
