This is not true. AMANDA _will_ do full backups to the holding disk, if
the "reserve" parameter is set to something less than 100. If reserve is
set to x (0 < x < 100), then 100-x percent will be available for full
backups on the holding disk. If the images fit, AMANDA will put them
there. This is how I get the AMANDA backup images (full and
incrementals) on my magneto-optical disks every day - I copy them from
the holding disk before I launch the daily flush operation ;-)  Works
very well if tapes and disks are of same capacity and are labelled the
same (so that he index database is valid for the disks too).
